Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and over.all just a great place to visit
I love this place. Aye, a bit rough and ready but it is a real pub. Real ales are excellent and are well kept. Bar staff are brilliant, and food is usual good quality.
Good, but you need to be a Mountaineer to go to the toilet
Lovely service and very accommodating.Beef cooker for burgers broke and was formally told and offered the chicken alternative.Unfortunately the chicken wasn't to my taste.But very good service.
A lovely stone built former bank, with beautiful sky lights and picked out in gold at the top of the pillers. It is a Lloyd's and the decor reflects this. It's mainly one big room, with some booths at the back. The toilets were up two flights of stairs, ladies OK. Interesting local historical pictures on the walls to look at as you're going up the stairs.It was tax free day, so drinks very reasonably priced!
