Booked in to install a new set of pickups and be given a guitar setup: service was fast and the guitar sounds much improved, with the pickup installation being flawless, and the neck plays better than ever after the setup.
I picked up a Squire Strat from a car boot sale for 50 quid. The electronics were a little on the crackly side, so I decided to upgrade the electronics (although was pretty close to thinking I might just cut my losses and stump up for a better guitar).After a bit of searching I came across Wrexham Guitar and gave them a buzz. After a good chat with Yan on options, he suggested I send my pickboard over and he would upgrade all of pots, switch and pickups (Tonerider Vintage Classics) and do all the wiring.A couple of days later, the upgraded pickboard arrived and the guitar is transformed. It sings like no 50 quid Chinese manufactured guitar has a right to - and Im delighted I opted for the upgrade route.I would thoroughly recommend Wrexham Guitars they offer excellent value, with a fantastically knowledgeable & friendly service.
