The staff here can be very helpful at times, but I feel you have to be assertive, and i feel at times they can be very rude.
This is horrible I have had a problem that has been concerning me for 2 weeks but I got told its emergencies only and I was not urgent enough
Making an appointment is a nightmare over the phone. Somedays rang up to 50 times in 30 minutes and by the time the call is answered there are no appointments. Even poping in at 8.30 at the surgery to get an appointment doesn't guarantee you one. Never trust the text reminder. The initial booking time replaces by the text without the staffs awareness (as they tell you) making you miss the whole appointment.
Can never get an appointment. I was refused appointments on 4 separate days by reception after finding a lump in my breast...already had a tumour removed and 6 weeks of radiotherapy. Took me a week to see a doctor, a locum, who was brilliant and was appalled the length of time I had to wait Old Dr Nankani nearly lost me my leg through not taking notice...had to have an emergency op. And Dr K Davies once put his hand in my face and said "I've told you I don't want to talk about it. You're not having any" When I asked him for some more painkillers that the hospital prescribed for me for a very SERIOUS back complaint. Awful doctors. A complaint was lodged with my local MP.Though to be fair the new ones seem better.
I agree with the comment below; terrible staff. One day surly, aggressive and dismissive while another forced cheer and happiness (after complaints maybe?). Medical care is better now older doctors have retired but some locums are wanting. They have lost my prescription several times, and blame the sending chemist.
